Who We Are

A Passion Project from a Passion Project

In 2018, after thirteen years working at another relief organization helping in Kenya, Hand in Hand Kenya founder Randie Marsh retired … but it didn’t last. Just three years later, Randie took a non-work trip to Kenya to see the Maisha Girls Safe House at a friend’s request. That was all it took.

Moved by Florence Keya’s passion for change, Randie returned to the US and started Hand in Hand Kenya as a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to maximizing the impact of the work Florence was doing.

Our Board of Directors

  • Randie Marsh

    FOUNDER/CHAIR

Mr. Rogers famously said that "we live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It’s easy to say “it’s not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem.” Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes."

Your support makes you a hero.

  • Jannine Thompson

    VICE CHAIR

By providing food, shelter, schooling, and life skills, HiH and Maisha Girls Safe House are helping the most vulnerable among us to live and learn in a safe environment with dignity and grace.

The need is great and we can always use your help.

At the end, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about who you've made better. It's about what you've given back.
